I wrote this on the way back from Hong Kong and never bring myself to post it up.
-- I stumble upon this quote a while ago.
"Music is a total constant. That's why we have such a strong visceral connection to it, you know? Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, or a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in your or the world, that one song says the same, just like that moment." — Sarah Dessen
This quote about music couldn't not be any more truer. It reminded me of this incident in a car with a good friend. Use Somebody by Kings of Leon was playing in my car. She mentioned that it reminded her of our bungy jump in New Zealand. While all this while it always reminded me of this one certain night in Melbourne. A group of friends were playing it as a cover. It's funny right? How one same song reminded both of us on a completely different thing. And I did remembered that it was being played when we are the bungy dock but it was covered up by the night that I heard it as a cover. That night that we all feel young and alive.
I had met a lot of people who is passionate or not about music. Some who just enjoy listening to it while some loves creating it, on stage or home. Even one who had a tattoo of it. It just quite fascinating how music make us feel sometimes. When I was intern ages, ages ago, I remembered I met some people who work for music and it was rather disappointing when good music was just a mere products to them.
It was quite funny that someone had asked before why I never try working in music industry if I love listening to music so much. I'm afraid that it might just stripped the beauty off listening to music. Just like watching a music video sometimes or knowing the life and drama of whoever sings it.
Oh and I remember this one time, I was exploring an alley with a friend and we found a gig in an underground cd store. That was an unbeatable feeling. This was the snapshot of the store which I can't even remember what's the place called.
Well I guess just really enjoy listening, thats all. Enough of gibberish. Here one to enjoy
